Hi, I’m Andrew, living in Melbourne. I’m taking this elective even though I’m over on the Master of Information Studies (MIS) course. I was an English teacher in the UK, mostly teaching the equivalent of VCE courses in literature, language, and creative writing. I moved to Australia in 2016 and spent some time teaching English for vacationing students and pre-university courses, lost that job when COVID hit, joined the MIS in 2021 and got hired as a Teacher Librarian at a K-12 school in 2022. I’m looking forward to reading/playing/experiencing lots of interesting texts on this course and getting inspired. In my free time, I read heaps with my cat on my lap and, listening to a record or pretending to be various Pokeman characters with my 3-and-a-half-year-old.
