Photoshoot with Kate Williams

Photoshoot with Kate Williams along with Message to the Great Sushant Singh Rajput

Past months, the journey to the entertainment industry was nothing but a brick wall. But, sometimes great opportunities take extra time, one of the great opportunity that I would consider is working with Kate Williams.  Different settings can change the way an Actor feels for the character, this is a lesson I learned under Charles Sturt University. Taking my steps into reality, Kate has shown me how different poses can also be a way to change the character’s feelings.

While conveying my gratitude to Kate Williams, I would also like to convey the loss of an amazing artist.

Sushant Singh Rajput was an amazing artist that I dreamed to act with. He’s achievement is a dream, while no-one like me dreamed, he proved to us reality can happen. Which made him irresistible.

Sushant, I didn’t know you in person. But I watched your movies and they were nothing but talent. Wish I could have worked with you, asked your way of breaking down characters. Unfortunately, you had to leave for a better place. You would always be an inspiration and a dream to achieve.

Chandramukhi re-act

Chandramukhi- Dubsmash

From childhood, my amazement continued at the way the different reactions can be created at the same time. I, being a dreamer wanted to experiment with this type of reaction this is a re-creation of that experiment.

Chandramukhi is a 2005 Tamil super Hit movie that gave the stars a huge highlight. Being born and raised in a Tamilan household, I wanted to try those reactions myself. I never got the time to do so, until Covid-19 appeared.

This scene starts with a husband wanting to go out for the night. His wife, however, is possessed with a revengeful soul who wants to stay for the night to fulfill her wish to kill the king. When the husband forces his demand the possessed soul comes out and warns him. But, when the husband calls out his wife’s name, the wife, realizes that something happened and starts to plead his forgiveness stating to not avoid her.

The audio is from the original movie and scene, This is to create the same dramatic effect the movie scored. I left the language to be Tamil wanting the action to speak more than words.

Who am I?

Who am I?

Directed by: Torri Cathie

When you’re private and silent about your feeling, the first thing people would do is act against and behind you. Speaking of which, Who am I? Directed by Torri Cathie. I played as a juvenile girl who has a hard time trying to show her feelings. She is very smart, besides, authentic towards her friends that further leads her to be backstabbed. Brining in the question who are we? when we have a choice of choosing who we call a friend and who we can trust.

This character was a misjudged of what people saw of her and what she ended up being, referencing the quote “Don’t judge a book by its cover”.

I shared screen space with Keeden Hendriks, Deanna Taylor, and Annie Cartwright who were extraordinary to work and to engage.

Sherlock Holmes a Game of Shadows- Self tape

Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadow- Self-tape

This is a fun try-it-out video to make myself busy during COVID-19. The challenge was to portray two different types of characters on the same screen, which I hope I’ve done. Sherlock Holmes is an inspiration for me therefore, I tried to show he’s nervousness and at the same time included my last touch of trying to think for the last move. It isn’t big, But it is something.

“People are Horrid… HORRID”.

Hinemoa’s Leap is a light-hearted stage play that was directed by Natasha Shimpf to show the different importances in society. I got to play as the Girl wanting to jump off the cliff along with her lover to prove the world that her love matters. Before fate is decided by the love birds, a man stops them from committing the act not too safe them, but to follow the same path.

This creation wouldn’t have been this memorable without the amazing, multitalented Cast members: Jhi Rayner, Jordan Johnson, Charles Sykes, and Gryce Harrison. Who helped by standing by my side to build and to develop this memorable, character.

Special thanks to Charles Sykes, my co-actor for sharing the stage with me.

Mr.Perfect is a stage play. I portrayed Liz, Finance publisher by profession, who modifies her life after her social group and has insecurities that she overcomes by portraying herself as “important”. She’s a workaholic, reserved, inhibited working woman with no time to rest. When she catches up with her high school best friend Elizabeth causing her to break her bubble and stepping out to reality, but would she step out?

This is a memorable performance for me, mainly because she has a standard, reputation that she likes to maintain until she opens up. This type of character changes due to time, therefore Laban’s work and analyzation were put dearly to create this character. I pictured her as a ‘swan’ because of the tale “Ugly Duckling”, where the duckling tries to find her home while traveling she tries to fit into the different habitat. Along with the director Deanna Taylor and co-star Bernadette Cutler we created a masterpiece that shows what the world is changing into today.

Charles Sturt University Remake – Second Year

For second year at Charles Sturt University, my fellow actors and I collaborated with the production and design teams to film our own remake of Community. It was an intense learning experience where I got to explore the different types of Laban movement techniques by exploring naturalism and trying out different techniques with the characters that most suited them.

Playing  Jeff (the leader of the Community), to Todd (the jock and the one who tries to impress others), became an experiment in exploring different Laban techniques. I learned a lot from our Community shoot, it was an incredible experience.
