It’s nice to have a look at posts by other students who have chosen different OLJ tasks to mine so I still get to engage with that content. I really liked the first point you discussed about the patrons being the destination for information, it really struck a chord with me. It reminds me of a really great quote that came up in one of the readings for the later modules that discussed how librarians now, as ever, need to go to where the people are instead of the other way around. I think that is really true in the context of social media, information professionals need to embrace new platforms and engage with patrons there.
Another great point is the free space for learning hubs and makerspaces, I think some people aren’t aware of the vibrant places that many public libraries are these days!
