The purpose of this website is to create a centralised information hub, where all our content and key information can be easily located and accessed by all members.
Members are encouraged to submit their own material to be published on the website for the benefit of other members. This may be, for example, short essays, case notes, articles, job opportunities and study tips.
We will also publish details of upcoming events and important dates to remember and offer merchandise for purchase in our online store.
The Law Society is here to help you navigate your way through your online studies, provide opportunities for members to network with industry leaders, learn practical skills in preparation for a career in law, and share tips and advice to help make your journey a productive and enjoyable one.
For the Law Society to achieve its aim in providing the benefits and opportunities above, it needs its members to get involved to help the executive organise events, develop workshops, engage with the other members, and key stakeholders in the legal industry. We want to build a supportive community for law students at Charles Sturt University, and we need your help.
The Law Society will also aim to bring a little fun into your life to break up the monotony and isolation of studying law online, and the members of the executive committee look forward to engaging with you all in the near future.
On behalf of the executive committee, I wish you all a safe and fulfilling year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the executive members, if you need some assistance navigating student life, we are more than happy to do what we can to help.
