The Charles Sturt University Law Society was established in 2020. The inaugural President and Vice President were Josh Matthews, and Elle Lake.

The Charles Sturt University Law Society aims to enhance the learning life and ensure a positive educational experience for law students. It is the principal alliance for law students studying at Charles Sturt University.

The Charles Sturt University Law Society aims to provide the law school community with a variety of events, activities, programs, social events, educational support, skills, careers events, together with incentives and initiatives that inspire students to use the law as an instrument for social change and justice.

Membership of the society is open to all students acquiring a Bachelor of Laws and alumni.

We pay our respect to all First Nations elders both past and present from the lands where Charles Sturt University law students reside. In particular, we acknowledge the Wiradjuri, Ngunawal, Gundungarra and Biripai peoples of Australia, who are the traditional custodians of the land where Charles Sturt University campuses are located.
