Scott Poynting is Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Islamic Studies and Civilisation, Charles Sturt University. A sociologist and criminologist, his research interests include Islamophobia, hate crime, state crime and the ‘war on terror’.
He is co-author of Bin Laden in the Suburbs: Criminalising the Arab Other, and co-editor of Global Islamophobia: Muslims and Moral Panic in the West (Routledge, 2016) and Media, Crime and Racism (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018).
