About Me
Hey everyone, welcome to my site!
My name is Cindy and it is a privilege to have you visiting my blog. I live in the far west of New South Wales, in a little town called Broken Hill, with my husband Craig.
We share three amazing children together, our sons Jack and Tom, who are both six foot giants and absolutely live for their sports, and our daughter Chloe, who is only thirteen and costs us a fortune already with her shopping addiction, her makeup fetish and her love for technology. This year both our boys have entered into the workforce, with both receiving apprenticeships. Jack’s got an Electrical apprenticeship and Tom has got a Boiler making apprenticeship.
Craig followed his dream five years ago, to become a Firefighter. He absolutely loves it and so do I. His work roster allows him to be home with the family more than his previous careers and enables him to help out around the house, reducing that household stress that often comes with family, work, children and just life in general.
For Twenty years I practiced as a Hairdresser, where I used my creativity to make people feel and look their best. I trained many apprentices and owned several businesses, this led to my desire to teach. I decided to return to study and become a teacher. This was something I always had dreamed of. And now here I am a Head Teacher in Career Pathways, Aboriginal Languages and Employ-ability Skills for TAFE NSW. My career at TAFE has opened up so many options for me and allowed for growth and development in many facets of life. I am faced with so many challenges with the responsibilities of staff and students, bringing so much enjoyment into my life. Never let go of a dream, you must follow your heart is my attitude in life.
In my spare time, apart from study, I love to paint using acrylic on canvas. I am inspired by the environment that I live in being surrounded by outback sunsets, sunburnt country sides and moon lit nights allows my creativity to run wild through my veins. In the future I would like to challenge my inner creativity by further developing my skills in the art world, and expanding my wings and opening a studio so I can share my love of art and colour with the rest of the world.
Thank you for visiting my page and I hope you find it inspiring as I continue to update my posts. I am looking forward to sharing this development with you all
