Video – AT HOME WORKOUT

I have created a video where I step viewers through an at home, no equipment needed workout. Through creating this video I have pushed myself outside of my comfort zone completely. Recording myself speaking on camera was a very daunting experience and took hours for me to be able to string multiple sentences together and be content with each section of the video. After the completion of recording all sections required, Imovie was used to produce this video. This included cropping the recordings to the correct length and sending these from my I phone, to my laptop, embedding the videos into iMovie in the correct order. I then added different transitions for each section as I thought that it gave a more professional touch. I also added some upbeat, motivational music to the video as I believe this gave some enthusiasm. This was sourced from Bensound music – https://www.bensound.com/royalty-free-music/2. Adding changes to the speed of a few sections in the video was the final touch in which I made in creating this video. Before uploading this to my existing youtube channel, I created a thumbnail through Pic Monkey – https://www.picmonkey.com/home/editor/CiRmZTg3ZjQwZS1hY2U3LTRiNTMtYWRkZi03NDUxZTYzNGRjM2E. I believe this well represented the content of the video and was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Overall, in the creation of this video, I have been able to not only venture out of my comfort zone but also showcase my newly learned skills in video production.

Podcast – Move Your Body

Living an active lifestyle is very important to me. So I thoroughly enjoyed being able to express my passion towards this. Through creating this motivational and informative podcast, I have learned a lot about the production of podcasts, but I have also learned a lot about myself. At times, I felt frustrated as I am very new to creating media, but I am also new to the application ‘Audacity’, which I used to create this podcast. When I was recording my podcast I felt nervous, even though I was just by myself. I found myself stuttering at words and couldn’t put a sentence together. After about 25 takes, I finally pulled through with the final product, ready to attach to my audacity file. Although my podcast only runs for just over 4 minutes, I spent over a week working on the production of this. This included; finding an upbeat, motivational song for my introduction, converting my Mp3 voice recording file to a WAV file, merging both pieces of media together, whilst learning to use tools such as fading in and out, Finding an image to use as my thumbnail which represented the meaning of my podcast well, exporting my file to my newly created SoundCloud account, and finally, attaching it to this blog post. Over the past week or so I have learned so many skills in this area and I am proud so of what I have achieved. I was persistent and determined to create a great podcast that reflected a great passion of mine.

About me

Hello!,

My name is Bronte, I have lived in a small country town for the past eighteen years and I absolutely love it. I work part time as a barista and coach CrossFit classes at my local gym. When I am not studying, or working, I am at Crossfit, training. I have always lived a very active lifestyle since I was very young. As I have grown up I have realised that it plays an extremely important part in my life, as moving my body often not only keeps me ‘sane’, but gives me a sense of accomplishment and allowed me to set and achieve goals in an area I have become very passionate about. I also enjoy learning new things and seeking adventure.
