The New South Wales Department of Planning and Environment provides a webpage related to birdwatching in NSW. The page has links to finding a park to birdwatch in, recommended locations, and helpful birdwatching tips including ethical birdwatching guidelines. Birdlife is an organisation aimed at conserving and protecting birdlife in Australia. The site allows users to search and browse information about Australian birds, and provides information on bird observatories. Importantly, the site gives checklists and tips for practicing conservation practices in your own backyard, protecting birds, and helping injured birds.

Hastings Birdwatchers

Is dedicated to the reporting of rare or unusual bird sightings. This can be birds outside their usual area, unusually high or low numbers, early or late arrivals or departures for migrant species, unusually plumaged birds, and interesting behaviour or unusual habitat usage. Birdline provides a quick link to report a sighting.
