Purpose and Justification

  • The internet of things would soon be the change in the health and medical care through virtual doctor’s appointments, detecting asthma attacks and much more. (This will help us understanding the challenges against the IoT devices)

 

  • By using tracking devices, it can help in connecting doctors and patients close together to improve the healthy lifestyle, exercise habits, everyday eating. (With this we will focus mainly on the storage and privacy of the users to use devices without a worry)

 

 

  • Our systems are now focused on reactive approach to health care, furthermore we can focus on the predictive and preventive care plans through smart systems. (This will provide us that how can we improve artificial intelligence to act wisely)

 

  • Technologies like virtual reality and artificial intelligence IoT can enhance the way of pursuing surgeries and other medical operations. (This point will arise the questions regarding storage and using cloud services for IoT in medical)

 

 

  • Internet of things provides a rare opportunity that delivers the real time insight. (This point will enhance our view on data privacy)

Project Domain

Internet of things is expanding rapidly, mostly in the field of science which requires a massive amount of storage data. With this report I will provide a review and also the challenges related to cloud based IoT. The internet of things technology uses sensors while tracking the data to process the wise decisions then after. While collecting the massive amount of data through millions of sensors it is a real challenge to store and secure it at the same time. However, this report will mainly on core issues like privacy of cloud data and consolidation of IoT along cloud computing.

The IoT services enables needless connectivity between sensors in the machines and devices using internet of things. IoT is consists of unique characteristics of self-organization, resource constraints and short-range communication and because of that the outsource storage and computation is mainly based on cloud. Cloud communication allows computers to provide useful data by connecting the devices to act anywhere on the globe. Cloud services would minimize the operating costs, availability and scalability of services, pay as required for the storage and much more. IoT is still enhancing its roots in the health and medical services to improve the caliber of machines and devices.

Introduction

Hello there,

welcome to my blog. My name is Bilal Khan and i am studying Masters of Information Technology at CSU. I am pursuing dual specialization which is Network security and Computer Networking. I have chosen a topic on advancement of medical in terms of IOT devices that can help in monitoring the healthcare sector remotely as well as it may help in unleashing the capabilities to keep the patients healthy and safe. This will also help in reducing  the re-admissions and length of hospital stays. Some of the things i would like to personally work on would be IOT for patient, physicians, hospitals, health insurance companies.
