About Me:
My name is Balpartap Singh, I am pursuing my masters in Information and technology from Charles Sturt University. The topic I have chosen for research is “IoT in farming (agriculture): Efficiency of wireless sensors network in farming”. For having keen interest in the innovations and new technologies I have chosen this topic for my research and to learn how to overcome the challenges faced by agriculture sector with the help of technologies.
Internet of things has already taken over in most of the sectors and proven to make life easy and increase the productivity to meet the demands of today’s world. Likewise, many farmers are accepting the new technologies entering agriculture field day by day. Again, IoT seems to have a promising future for agriculture sector. Started from merely automation of water irrigation system to high quality precision cutting tools and weather predictors even soil monitoring could be done today using IoT and much more, as technologies are growing everyday.
Through this blog, I would like to present depths and breadths of the IoT in farming and what issue have been face so far or for the future.
