About me

I’ve come full circle back to studies in education. After my first year out as a secondary English/music teacher, I went to London where I did supply teaching, before spending three years in a school for teenagers with significant learning difficulties. My travel adventures included volunteer work at a vocational training school in Ghana. A return to Australia heralded a new career in academic publishing where I spent 15 years, with education always central — I sold the pre-service teacher education list for a publisher, then took on that list as commissioning editor, before a stint with a curriculum development company. A change in circumstances resulted in me pausing my studies and giving up publishing, but I am now back on my library path, studying for my masters, and working in a council lbrary in South East QLD. I also run a book club, and sometimes like to dress up and sing in a quirky choir…
