The question of how does the school library fit within the school structure, how is it valued and used and what purpose does it have as a whole within the school community varies drastically from school to school.
In my particular context the school library is a place used by everyone but valued by few. The library’s primary function is to provide relief from face to face for classroom teachers but a goal for the coming years is to have the library as a place students can come and enjoy time, learn new things and expand their love of reading. The library should be the hub of the school to be used and supported by all. By developing the library it a flexible space staff and students will begin to come and develop an understanding for the importance of the library.
