About Me

My name is Amna Tareen. Having a background of two different Middle Eastern countries, I am very fortunate to migrate to Australia and got the opportunity to better plan my future. I am a graduate Computer Engineer, worked in the IT (information Technology) industry overseas, for a couple of years. I am currently working as an SLSO in a SSPs (Schools for specific purposes) where I support students with intellectual and physical disabilities, and mental health issues. During all these years I found myself fascinated to the teaching profession, that prepared me to do a Certificate IV in Education Support and that’s how I am working in a School, which I am very passionate about.

Above all this, I am a happy wife for 12 years and a mother of two beautiful children. I love to spend time camping and travelling with my family. My hobby is to research on Daily Life Communications. Like everyone, has a particular method of communicating, there are the obvious spoken languages, body languages, facial expressions, and interactions we share on a day-to-day basis that reflect who we are. I can speak 5 different languages and now I am working towards developing my sign language skill. I believe in finding happiness in little things.
