week 2

About me: my name is Abhishek Chauhan. I am currently studying masters in Information Technology from CSU. I am an international student from India. I have keen interest in technology and computers, that’s why I selected this course. For this assignment I have selected “IOT smart homes technologies and their impacts ” as research project because it seem interesting to find out the usage of technology in basic life.

Abstract:

In different fields the term “smart” has been used and is generally accepted as meaning intellect.Smart home service has made household appliances smarter, more distant-controllable and more interlinked. Network contact and embedded micro-electro-mechanical technologies have gained significant attention in recent years. Sensing, recognition, and communication features can be implemented in various smart devices using these technologies.

Project domain:

Technical shortcomings in built-in smart homes can be a problem for potential consumers. Smart home systems ‘ reliability depends not only on the fact that the device is not malfunctioning, but also on the fact that the technological constituents work well while delivering a reliable service. Components of IOT based smart homes: Environmental sensors: sensor of temperature, sensor of smoke, sensor of flame, sensor of image.

Background: A smart home refers to a household that is fitted with a communications network, high-family facilities, appliances, and sensors that can be approached, tracked, and remotely operated, delivering services that fulfil the demands of residents. These days a smart home device is tracking consumer behaviors and the internal environment at home due to technological advancement. Additionally, a smart home delivers facility that suit a user’s expectations and demands.

Aim: The main aim of Smart Home focused on the Internet of Things is to help people make their lives easier with an automation that helps cut down on their time and resources. It operates the basic home appliances without human intervention, as expected by the user. This will cut back on human attempts to physically regulate events every time. In this project, we are planning to find the ways to develop such network.

Outcomes:

Through considering the user experience, the current study will serve as a guide for future research on developing IoT technology within a smart home context.
