Permission-ed Blockchain and Permission-less Blockchain: Studying Consensus Algorithms and Proposing 2-tier architecture based on Voting System.
Blockchain is getting more and more popular because of the features it provide to the internet and the host network. Blockchain is based on peer-to-peer network, it is decentralized thus resistant to DOS attacks. Blockchain is based on Linked nodes, each node has encrypted hash of the previous node in this way no malicious or unauthorized node can enter the linked nodes. Each node has its own processing power.
The node can be either public which is permission-less blockchain or private which is permissioned blockchain .
This project aims to study both blockchain types in depth, their differences/limitations as well as relevent consensus algorithm and protocols. The outcome of this project will result in further understanding of the blockchain technology in detail and proposing a 2-tier architecture based on a voting based algorithm. This architecture will have properties of both Permission-less and Permission-ed blockchain.
